Macbook Pro won't go into Recovery Mode

Urgent Help Please.

I recently bought a new Macbook Pro and I did a migration from my old Macbook Pro. Everything went smoothly except it didn't transfer the passwords so I cannot log in. I have tried restarting/shutting down while holding Command + R/Option+Command+R but it still just takes me to the log-in screen. I have tried holding it down entirely and holding it down until the logo appears but it ends with the same result.

Can someone assist?

Thank you!

During the migration process, you were presented a screen that allowed you to set the passwords for the users. Did you set the original passwords or new ones? Whatever you keyed is now the password. If you keyed a different one than your original, you now have to use it.

What exactly did you do when you got to that screen?
