iPad Pro interfering with Apple TV

I stream video content from my MacBook Pro to my TV via Apple TV - it works fine.

However, when I am watching TV and open my iPad to browse the Internet, etc, the TV picture and sound start stuttering violently.

I’ve tried so many different ways to fix this problem and I’m at my wits end. When I close my iPad Pro, after a minute or two the problem goes away.

Any ideas?

Try measuring the internet speed directly on the Apple TV box and on the iPad. Then it should include the effects of your internet plan with your ISP, but also the effects of your home network (including any interference).

Speedtest by Ookla app - App Store preview - Apple

Maybe the bandwidth is at its limits for both devices at the same time.

Try measuring separately, and also while the other is streaming (3×).
