Notifications through iPhone and Apple Watch

I have an iPhone 13 and an Apple Watch Series 7. At night I set my iPhone to do not disturb, which also automatically sets my watch to do not disturb. I have an exemption for one app, my baby monitor app, to allow notifications. This app makes a tweeting noise when there is a notification. For some reason though when there is a notification its pinging through my watch very quietly and I can't hear it while I'm sleeping. The ringer on my phone is on and the ringer volume is all the way up. How do I get the notification to come through on my phone instead of my watch?

Hey there TarTar87,

It sounds like your Apple Watch is set to mirror your iPhone notification settings. If that's the case, you can choose custom settings instead, which will allow you to turn off the notification for this specific application and only let it go through your iPhone.

If you want to do that, open the Watch app on your iPhone > Notifications > baby monitor app > Custom,

Another option is changing the haptics on your Apple Watch to have a more prominent/stronger vibration when there is a notification for the baby monitor app. You'll do this by opening the Watch app on your iPhone > Sounds & Haptics > Prominent.
