junk email moved to inbox deletes when other email is deleted

When moving an email from junk ( either copy to inbox, drag to inbox, etc) to inbox, email is moved...but when you delete any email in the inbox, that moved email also deletes and is in no folder..its just gone. I had several very important email in junk, that o moved and ended up losing.

Instead of dragging or moving, when a Junk eMail is highlighted, click on the x Junk icon above.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

If you have no POP accounts & they’re all IMAP accounts then in Mail’s Mailbox menu choose Rebuild.
