The IOS16 update made my app search bar disappear. Every app I have checked under Siri search shows everything enabled but I still don’t even get the bar to search in. How do I get it back?

The search window is now immediately above the keyboard rather than near the top of the screen.
You can access that by swiping down from the middle of the Home Screen orby tapping search on the Home Screen if you have that option turned on in Settings > Siri & Search.

I wish when design changes are made like this they are not just forced upon users, it would have been very easy to have had the option as to where this search window is, much like the safari search bar options. Personally having it in the middle of the screen like this seems very counter intuitive.
Thank you! Would never have found the key to this one! Not only did they change the location but the mode of access as well. Not a fan of the new configuration!!!
