upgrade issue

I see someone else is trying to update from 10.12.6 to the macOS 10.13. The recommendation from apple was to go to macOS High Sierra and download it etc. I tried this also, and it says 'this copy is damaged....'. This is the same response the previous user stated. Nobody from apple got back. Can you please advise how to upgrade?

Go to the Applications Folder and see if " Install High Sierra " is located there.

If yes, drag and drop to Trash and Empty Trash

How to get old versions of macOS and verify what version this computer Qualifies to install.  For Best results use Safari to commence the download as Others may not work.

Safari will open a redirect and open the Apple Store where the download can commence.

If you get a corrupted message...

Naw, it's not damaged, it's just that you have an old copy already in Applications, there are 2 cures...

If you’re short of bandwidth or data… Disconnect from the Internet & set the Date back to 2014, then you can run the Install MacsOS ******* App in Applications, so expired Certificates are not expired.

Or...

Trash the Install MacsOS *******.app in Applications then restart, a new copy more recent version can be downloaded.
