Is it possible to display on a projector another screen than what is on my iPad? I am a teacher and would like to have my iPad not always mirror what I am working on so that I can perhaps have on my iPad my attendance and my Math notebook displayed on the projector.

Thanks for any help

No. iPad screen mirroring cannot be used in the manner that you describe.

While it is possible (a) output streamed video to an attached monitor/projector over HDMI, or (b) use the Apple Keynote App to display slides on the monitor and associated speaker notes on the iPad - iPadOS does not yet natively provide an ability to display different material on the connected monitor and the iPad screen.
