My voice to text stopped working. When I click on the microphone, another microphone with a X next to it appears. Please help!

This is expected behavior. Once you tap on the mic you would start speaking and the words should appear on the screen. You can click the picture of the mix with the x in it to stop it from recording or by clicking the picture of the bigger mic at the bottom of the keyboard. I was able to get this fixed on my iPhone X or after the most recent iOS 16.0.3 update. I had to add a new keyboard version for English – UK period then I deleted the English – US version. Then the voice to text started working again.

Have you found a fix? Mine does the same. I have done it all from turning Siri on/off, enable dictation, setting reset, etc.

micro works and when I say Hey Siri it acknowledges me but stops.

I have an iphone XR and my Voice to Text just stopped working 2 days ago. Nothing recommended seems to help. Is apple going to acknowledge this is a software problem? Anybody found a solution.

I contacted Apple Support and told this situation was new to them. So no suggestions.

After the most recent software update, I was able to download a new keyboard for English – UK . Then I deleted the English – US keyboard and the voice to text started working.
