Notifications IOS16 on iPhone 14 pro not showing in Notification Center when not specifying Lock Screen

I’m having the same issue, and your reply was not helpful. My apps are always set up to show notifications. Nothing is showing in Notification Center at all.

I do not want notifications on my Lock Screen. As the poster said, it’s not private.

I thought I was going crazy. I have tested and when I didn't open several notifications (amazon and a news station) the notifications aren't anywhere to be found. Then this Sunday early am, my phone did the update to latest IOS and then I had about 25 notifications on my phone from the week. Now, still not working on a daily basis. Where are they going? I've tried the swipe thing and they are nowhere. What is going on?

Hi. My friend with iPhone 11 has same issue (iOS16.1). No notifications about messages, for phone only screen indicator - no sound even when it's enabled. No notifications and badges on 3rd party apps like messanger but when go to app it appears in app and on app icon

I’m having the same issue, and the fix provided is the obvious answer, but it is not the fix because everyone in this thread already had their phones set up to show notifications in the list when unlocked. This seems to be an issue with the update to ios 16. Could Apple please determine what the actual solution is to the notifications not showing as requested in the settings?

So I’m having the same issue with my iPhone 14 pro. I use to be able to swipe down from the left side but now it’s just my lock screen blank. Saying this, I do get them on my MacBook. Like my son asks for approval and I can’t approve it on my phone but I can on my MacBook.

The interface has changed. When you swipe down and the blank notification screen shows, you have to press ‘in’ at the lower section of the blank screen and a ‘roll’ of notifications appear. Even setting it to ‘list’ and not stack won’t change this, it appears to be the new way to see the notification screen.

the notification center does not work when I swipe down on the home screen. There was no press or in or anything like similar. It is completely empty and don’t know what I should do. I was using notification center the most, now, I really don’t what I will do..

I had the same problem, I found that it’s the motion to swipe that reveals the notifications that changed. It feels like a carousel that moves up, if that makes sense. A gentle push in and up like on something round and then they appeared. I hope that is the solution for you. I felt certain something was missing as I read the comments here, but after the first day with the new update I got that motion correct and found my precious notifications. Good luck!!

Now then whilst i’m not certain about the private thing with notifications (sorry i can’t help with that) i can however help with the notifications not showing up, for me at least when i first got this phone (upgraded the week before christmas) not even 10 of the applications i had on my iphone 11 were sending me notifications, so i did the laborious task of toggling ALL my applications notification settings and that did the trick for me mind you i’m talking 100-200 apps so i can tell you for certain it sucked. Whilst it ain’t a fix perhaps this workaround will help some of you to fix this

I’d also really like to know a solution for this. iPhone 12 mini here and this issue is happening for me too. Just upgraded to iOS 16.

I have that exact same problem where I used to be able to approve my kids' app requests from my phone. Now I get them on the macbook, but not on my phone. Any my macbook isn't always with me.

I was so hopeful that would help, but sadly it didn’t. I see nothing, no “ in” on my Lock Screen except flashlight and camera icons.

Wow! Thank you! I’m not sure I can repeat the motion, but after several tries I did get notifications! New tech should be easier, this is more difficult!
