2018 Macbook Pro Monterey 12.5 Hyper Drive USB-C Hub Does Recognize Devices in USB Ports
I have Hyper Drive 7-in-2 USB-C hub connected to my 2018 MBP. It's currently running Monterey 12.5. Its upgraded somewhat recently.
When it's plugged in (regardless of what side of the laptop) the HDMI and power connections work just fine. However, the USB connections do not. I'm trying to get a Logitech Unifying Receiver connected. Its used to work GREAT! Now it rarely and pretty much never gets recognized by the laptop. I"m trying to get a Logitech K750 keyboard recognized.
No problems before and all of a sudden about 1-2 months ago, the USB receiver isn't recognized. The frequency of the receiver being recognized has slowly decreased and now almost/pretty much never is recognized. I tried all sorts of troubleshooting tips from Logitech with no luck. I also tried buying a new receiver to no avail.
I'm not sure if this was a result of Monterey being installed because while on Monterey its would connect and then when it would not be recognized vs when it would became more frequent.
I've seen posts about possibilities of the MBP's ports being loose, upgrading to Monterey being the cause, etc.
Whatever the reason, I as well as others, need a solution ASAP so we can continue to be productive. We've spent anywhere between $2500 and $5k for these machines and we shouldn't be experiencing these issues. If it is a hardware issue, Apple needs to fix the ports free of charge and without having to ship your laptop off and missing it for weeks on end if you can go to an Apple Store...even if the warranty and AppleCare is out of date because this is a flaw in the design.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE is there a resolution that anyone at Apple or out there knows?
Apple - Thank for hearing me and addressing and solving the issue.
