Apple TV Subscription not allowing me to watch anything

I have an apple TV sub that expires in Sept of 2023. I recently redeemed a free year from T-Mobile. For some reason when I try to watch anything it's acting like I don't have a sub and is telling me to enjoy 3 months free. This is happening when I use the app, or hit tv.apple.com directly.

On what device(s) is this happening?

Verify that you are signed in with the Apple ID account that has the subscription.

Verify that you select Apple TV+ content, as other content in the Apple TV app may require a separate subscription or purchase.

If these devices are registered with the same Apple ID account as where the subscription is administrated, then I find it quite the mystery. Unless someone else chimes in with a good idea, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/​email/​callback).

So I'm actually able to watch from tv.apple.com from my web browser from both my desktop and my ipad, but I am not able to watch anything from the Apple TV app on my ipad. There's no play button, it just shows a button reading "Start Free Trial".


For some reason it's showing a "Enjoy 3 Months Free" on my web browser also, but maybe that's normal? Seems odd to display that when someone is logged in with an account with an active sub. I can ignore that from my browser and still watch the episodes at least.
