Everything checks but I’m still not receiving the ask to buy notifications

When my daughter wants to download an app, she has to get my permission. Her iPad says it will send a permission request but I don’t receive them. It’s been like that for a few days now. ID checks out, family sharing is good, ask to buy is on. Not sure what’s wrong

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16

Since Ask to Buy notifications are not being received as expected, start with the steps in the resource you used to reach out to us.


“On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings, tap your name, then tap Family Sharing. 
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Make a note of the Apple ID that you're using.
  4. Go back to Settings.
  5. Tap your name, tap Media & Purchases, then tap View Account.
  6. Make sure that you're using the same Apple ID.” If Ask to Buy isn't working 


If you still do not receive the notifications, Contact Apple Support for additional troubleshooting.
