iPad won’t respond

I have a 7th Gen iPad that was working fine until recently. It says it was signed out of my Apple ID and nothing will load. I’ve restarted it multiple times and I’ve tried to sign back in multiple times but it’s taking too long to respond and it says it’s unable to sign back in and it continues saying “There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server.” I’ve tried disconnecting it completely from my Apple ID and it won’t let me do that either because it won’t load quick enough. The wifi setting are fine but I can’t figure out how to fix this.
