Monterey 12.6 on iMac18.1 Fan at full blast suddenly from screen saver

Today my iMac18.1 w/32GB memory i5 2.3GHz running Monterey 12.6 latest patch started suddenly to run CPU Fan at full blast ~3700RPMs when left in screen saver for a while like 15-20minutes even though all temperatures are low.

Fan Control doesn't seems to be able to handle this even CrystalIdea clams it should be supported/working on my iMac + macOS versions :/

Any hints appreciated, TIA!

Click on the Custom button.

Select "Constant RPM value" to manually control the fan speed.

or

Select "Sensor-based value" for fan control that is based on a sensor and temperature range

Select the sensor that you want to use. (the CPU PECI generally runs the warmest)

Then set the Start and Maximum Temperatures and click OK

Sorry I use Light windows and Fahrenheit.

MacFanControl works fine for me on several different Mac’s that are running macOS 12.6 Monterey.

If you are using the Sensor Based Control and recently updated macOS and/or MacFanControl., Then I suggest revisiting the Sensor Based Control panel and resetting the Start ramping up (low) and the Maximum (high) settings.

Tip try setting the Start at 30 to 35C and the Max up around 90 to 95C.

Thanks but I'm new to FanControl, not using Sensor Based, it seems I can't make FanControl control the fan at all, not really seeing anything in system log that reveals issues ImHO, seen thes kind of log events when attempting to set a fixed fan speed and when returning to auto:
