Importing PNG into FCPX 10.6.4 Turns PNG All Black

I have 2 pngs one imports fine the other will appear and then go black. I tried this but it didn't work. FCPX 10.6.1 png exporting with black back… - Apple Community


I've also tried:

Changing the project from HDR to SDR

Changing the file to a TIFF

Changing the exposure on the image


None of these seem to work

You can have as many versions on the system that will run as long as they have different names in the Applications folder and run different libraries. The current version will run from 4.10 to 6.4.


Open the PNG in Preview and export OpenEXR. Make sure alpha is checked. That works for me in 6.4.
