Buy iphone from singapore

Hi, iam from India and I want to buy an iphone 14 pro from singapore. I have a doubt - if I buy my phone from apple's singapore website directly will my phone be carrier locked? And if yes what is the procedure to get it unlocked?

Apple does not ship internationally, so if you buy from the Singapore store, you will need to ship it to an address within Singapore. They will not ship directly to India.
Apple sells unlocked iPhones unless you select an installment plan with a specific carrier. which does not seem to be possible in the Singapore store. If you do select an installment plan with a carrier, and if it's locked to a specific carrier, only that carrier can unlock it. Apple cannot unlock it.
The procedure will depend on the carrier it is locked to. You may need to pay for service with the carrier for a specific amount of time before they unlock it for instance. Link-> How to unlock your iPhone for use with a different carrier - Apple Support
Also be aware Warranty will only be available in the country of purchase, so if n anything happens to the iPhone, and you need to get it repaired, you will need to take it physically to Singapore for Warranty service. Again, Apple does not accept international shipments for service.

So I have a friend who is traveling to India I will order at his place he will get it for me . So in this case I will place an order through the apple website directly. Is there a possibility for it to have carrier lock?

It's unlikely to be carrier locked. As I said, there is no way to choose a carrier in the Singapore online Apple store so nothing for it to be locked to.
