macOS Monterey 12.6 upgrade won't install

When upgrading from 12.39 to 12.6, I can download but not install the upgrade. I can successfully download the upgrade, but get an error saying the download can't be used because it's damaged. Any workarounds or advice?

Yes. Sometimes a large file such as this can get damaged during the download and it then will not install. Put the file into the Trash and do another download. Sometimes the problem is that using Wi-Fi is too slow and is the cause. If so, use a wired Ethernet connection and it should download just fine.
