When I press a specific conversation on messages, it kicks me out of the app. When I try to send the person a link such as from tiktok, as soon as i press their name, it kicks me out. Same with trying to message them through the contacts app.

but ios 16 is available on iphone 8 u just have to press on the upgrade button in the software update screen 😃 if that doesn’t work then contact apple support maybe? idk :( that’s all i know

Try restarting your iPhone. If that doesn’t work, then maybe update it to the latest version of iOS.
i already restarted it several times and ios16 isn’t available to me :( thank you though

If you have an iPhone 8 as indicated in your original post, you can update to iOS 16.
