Apple does not make manuals for specific devices. It makes the manual for the operating system the device is running.

In the case of a 14" MacBook Pro, I linked to the current and most updated user guide for macOS Monterey.

That will apply to your Mac entirely.

click here-> macOS User Guide - Apple Support

The section titled "The Basics" should cover most general things for your Mac.

If you use the search option there, you can find most things. In case of the double clicking of the mouse, entering "mouse double click" results in this as the first result: link-> Change mouse tracking, double-click, and scrolling speed on Mac - Apple Support

Often enough a newer Mac (like older examples) has a fairly good

built-in 'Help' viewer. And seldom find difference in google alphabet

that won't be found within results from Duckduckgo, 'anonymous'

searches; when you can customize your questions, and drill down.

There are more specific online product manuals, however those may

not be updated; depends on where you go looking. ~ Offline, used to

be a better-bet; with "Missing Manuals" by David Pogue, etc. Could be

included with an older Mac; at time one donated a semi-retired Mac.

Those 'Essential user guides' used to also be in book form; a free download.

I've some for iPhone, iPad, Mac mini, etc. Good for use offline; with second

Mac to reference information to fix a broken second Mac. The more useful

link online, that would get superseded, are portions of 'Table of Contents.'

[macOS User Guide is linked along with others, inside Table of Contents.]

Hardware & software resource references, both offline & online are helpful;

& perhaps more so, should those references not change between versions.

I want to read a manual specific for for my new Macbook Pro 14 inch. My first laptop. I've been using a mac mini. I don't want alot of instructions for things that no longer exist. It is complicated enough. I spent a lot of money. It should come with its own manual. I don't have a touch bar or a sidecar button. I spent a lot of time trying to get my mouse to double click again. I don't want to learn any specific thing just a general knowledge as to how it works. 263 pages because it covers too broad a subject.

<< It should come with its own manual. >>

Apple Macs have always prided themselves that Macs do not require detailed Hardware manuals. Once you know how to operate one, you have the gist of how to operate them all.

You are already grousing about 263 pages, not all of which is directly applicable to you. MORE detail does not appear to be the answer.
