Apple ID on macbook air

I can't log into my apple ID on macbook air because of the verification code. I don't where i can put the code. Can't update because I can't sign into macbook, please help. Apple ID works fine on iphone.

Put it just after the password. For example, if your password is abc and the code 123456, put abc123456 in the password field.

Codes are time-limited. If yours has expired, request a new one.
