iPad Air 4 problems after iPadOS 16.1 update

Hi there, yesterday I’ve updated my iPad Air 4 to iPadOS 16 and I’ve noticed something strange.

When I open a folder, the homescreen in the background is not “covered” and I can still touch the background (as you can check it in the photo here).

Is it normal?

I’ve also noticed that, when I use the Note app and I write something, then I delete it and suddenly the old writing reappears.

Hoping you can answer to me and give explanations.

Thank you!

I also have this folder problem since updating to 16.1 (M1 iPad Pro 11) Have also rebooted to no effect.

Dario95ct, does your iPad do this for all folders? Mine only does this for folders that are in the dock, if I open folders that are on the main screen they open fully as expected.

I’ve not been able to replicate your problem:

Having performed the system software update to iPadOS 16.1, if you are seeing unexpected behaviour, a forced-restart of your iPad may be helpful - as this will often clear an isolated software issue:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On an iPad with Face ID: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
