Is there a way to arrange a batch of imported files not by the date that they were created (photographed)?

When I'm adding to an album it's sometimes very difficult to find all the files from what I've just imported. They're all over the place and I have to scroll through my entire library several times.

Alternately, is there a simple way to eliminate all the dates from the exif data so that an imported bunch of images all stay together.

The Imports view

sorts pictures by the date added to the Library, a date not connected to the date created or the date modified.


On the other hand, if you know the import date, or a range of dates, you can find it with a Smart Album:
