Download the RAW file from iCloud

I notice that, when I download a batch of photos taken with my iPhone 14 Pro from the iCloud, they are put into a zip file in 8-bit JPG format. Is there a way to download a group of photos without converting the ones that are in RAW?

Apple support's article: Download iCloud photos and videos - Apple Support can help with the photo originals.

says:

"How to download photos and videos from the Photos app

If you want to download a full-size copy of your photos and videos from the Photos app to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iOS 10.3 or later or iPadOS, or your Mac with OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 or later, follow these steps.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings > [your name].
  2. Tap iCloud, then tap Photos.
  3. Select Download and Keep Originals."

You. might want to browse the above article for more tips:

Eg: There's a section at the bottom:

"If you need help downloading your photos or videos"

Eg: Make sure your device isn't on Low Power Mode.

Low Power Mode temporarily pauses iCloud Photos.
