There is a big difference between m1 and m2 ?

I have a MacBook Air 2015 (7,2) with 121 go of storage and 4 go of ram. I think is the time for me to change my Mac beacause I use apps like iMovie,Final Cut pro, safari… my Mac take like 30 sec to open Final Cut Pro. I am thinking to buy a new MacBook Air beacause one big reason is because my Mac is not compatible with Ventura but also to have more storage, ram and more performance. But the two Mac has more storage ram and performance… so the big difference between the two is the chip. (M1 and M2)


Question : there is a big difference between the 2 chips

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

Both M1 and M2 are presumably entry-level within their respective chip lines, looking at what happened with the addition of M1 Pro, Max, and Ultra.
