Thanks for trying that. Can you also try clearing the History as well? This may stop that issue from occuring as well.

The Maps app uses information about your significant locations from Location Services to provide you with personalized services like predictive traffic routing. Your significant locations are end-to-end encrypted and cannot be read by Apple. You can delete your significant locations at any time—for example, to reset predictive traffic routing and similar personalized services.

If you do not want to see location suggestions, turn off frequent locations. To do this go to

Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Frequent Locations.
