Facebook App on iPad not saving passwords

Since upgrading to iPadOS 16, the Facebook App no longer supports switching accounts without inputting the password, it saves the profile on the screen, but when I click on the account I want to use, it always asks for the password. I can’t find anyone with similar issues, so not sure if its an isolated issue.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

Facebook app refusing correct password on new iPad This problem seems to have been around for several years, but I still can't find a successful answer to it. Hopefully someone out there can offer some sage advice. My wife has a new iPad. It was setup from her old iPad. All apps on the new iPad recognise their respective passwords... except for the FB app. The app on her old iPad still accepts the password after logging out and logging back in. As does FB on the web. But not the app on the new iPad. Why would that be? We have, of course, tried all the obvious remedies – reinstalling the app, hard reset of the iPad, etc., etc. – but all to no avail. The same problem was posted up by linwoodlake01 two years ago, so I can't imagine there's a bug in the app that hasn't been fixed by now. Does anyone have any ideas?

Facebook app doesn’t work on new ipad My wife received a new iPad for her work and I purchased a brand new iPad Pro. We cannot login to the Facebook app on either of the new iPads. We have tried password reset, deleting the ap and restarting the iPads and NOTHING helps. All it says is password not valid when you try to login and ask you to reset PW or try again. Very frustrating to pay this much money for a new iPad and have it not work with all apps. I am also having the same issue with the X app. Please help APPLE or the developers of the social apps!!!

Facebook app refusing correct password on new iPad ….. solution? For those of you having Facebook password issues on new iPads, I had the same issue I tried everything reset iPad uninstalled the app changed password no help. As a last resort I uninstalled the app powered off iPad powered back up went to re install the app and before I did I noticed that I still had messenger app installed and since it uses the same account info, I logged onto messenger and it worked. I installed the Facebook app again and tried logging in while still logged into messenger and it Worked!!!!!! Hope this works for others as well.
