Verify that CEC is still turned on at all HDMI devices:
- For Apple TV: Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Control TVs and Receivers﹥On.
- For other equipment: See their manuals.
For volume control: Verify that the Apple TV setting for that is still as intended: Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Volume Control﹥. If ‘Auto’ doesn’t work for you, try one of the manual settings instead.
Else restart just the remote: If your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote isn't working - Apple Support
