Mail app won’t allow me to login

Mail app won’t allow me to login after uninstalling or deleting account from the app I can’t remember what I did exactly but I wanted to stop using it cause all I got there was junk mail but now I need to access my iCloud email and it’s not letting me get past entering in my information! In the “mail” app- I select iCloud under welcome to mail screen then enter correct email and password- click next and nothing happens- it also doesn’t give an error msg, it just doesn’t go forward! I followed an apple tutorial to add my iCloud email under settings and I’m now logged in there but the app still won’t proceed! how can I access my iCloud emails/ get past this glitch?! Also can I manually uninstall and reinstall the app itself? Thanks so much!

Hello AshleyShoe,

It looks like you aren't able to log in with your iCloud account in the Mail app right? If you haven't already, try to sign in to www.icloud.com and see if you can access your iCloud mail there. You can also try to remove the Mail app from your phone and make it available again using the App Store.

If iCloud Mail isn't working - Apple Support

  1. "Check the system status of iCloud Mail.
  2. Check that you turned on iCloud Mail:
    • On your Mac, open the Mail app then choose Mail >Preferences. Click Accounts, then select your iCloud account in the sidebar. Under Account Information, make sure that the account is turned on and the status is online.
    • On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and check that Mail is turned on.
  1. Make sure you that haven't exceeded your iCloud storage limit. If you exceed your iCloud storage limit, learn how to make more space available in iCloud
  2. Make sure that you're using the latest version of software on your device. "

Regards.
