“New iCloud Terms & Conditions” Popup Bug — Post Ventura Update

Hey community, I'm here to plead with you in hopes you may have a solution for my mildly inconvenient, but HIGHLY frustrating situation. Since my upgrade to Ventura, I've received a popup hourly reminding me to "agree to the new iCloud t's & c's"-- to which I comply, tick the box, and submit. The only issue is it does not go away. I've agreed to the t's & c's more than 40 times, and nothing changes. The popup notification on my MacBook pro cannot even be closed without navigating me out of my work and taking me to the settings app to agree. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Same here, it's freaking driving me nuts, feel like I am back on a windows computer. Come on APPLE!

Same issue, keep clicking, scrolling, going into settings, EVERYTHING and it keeps on happening, day in and day out and come to think of it, happened right after Ventura ... just ridiculous.

I did notice if you go into settings to accept instead of starting the accept button on your desktop, once I click to accept while in settings, very quickly a small window "server error" pops up, it flashes on the screen so quickly I cant capture it or even fully read it.

I have done this like the others, at least 40 to 50 times in everyday imaginable and it still appears.

I found a solution for the never ending terms and conditions pop-up. My engineers and I worked for several days in fact weeks to scour the internet and yet the solution was right in front of us the whole time.

If you're using an external monitor. Take that stupid popup and make it really small and drag it to the corner of the screen so that it's always open but out of sight and when it gets big it won't stomp on any other open windows.

The only problem is if you need to access the settings. Then you need to unplug the monitor to gain access to the settings.

Looks like Case Closed.

What’s the URL of this thread you speak of?l

Providing that would help many, for certain.

I was also getting these repeated New iCloud Terms and Conditions notices that interrupted whatever I was doing every few minutes. I accepted the T&Cs numerous times.

I finally logged out of iCloud (System Settings/your name at the top of the screen/Log Out at the bottom of the screen).

Then I had trouble logging back in. When I used my .icloud user name and Apple password, the system appeared to log in and sent a verification code to my phone, but then it reset at the login screen. After failing using this route about three times, I tried logging in using my .mac user name. I entered my Apple password and later got to a step to enter my local desktop password, which I hadn't gotten to using the .icloud user name.

I then got a "Login Failed" message. However, this message disappeared and I seem to have logged into my iCloud account successfully. So far I am not getting the New Terms and Condition popup.

Fingers crossed that I am good to go.

*I just discovered that when I logged out of iCloud, I disconnected my bank credit card from Apple Pay. I had to go back and reestablish this on the desktop at System Settings/Wallet and Apply Pay, near the bottom of the System Settings window.

Reboot While Signed Out of iCloud:

What happens when you sign out of iCloud and then restart, boot up and log in normally? Does this go away? Having rebooted while signed out, sing back in to iCloud, seeing what happens.

I decided to contact Apple Support on this. It was escalated and the support person and I worked through several scenarios. What finally fixed it was to log into iCloud from the offending computer checking all of the settings tabs and from there logging into the manage my AppleID and walking through all settings there. This seemed to cause it to finally sync things with my computer because somewhere during this process the notification went away and has stayed away. There is no longer a line item for that notification in my System Settings.

Did that work on an iMac running Ventura????

I tried that on my iMac. Refused to do it after warnings from Apple!!!

It's not simply a matter of signing out of iCloud and signing back in. What I saw with iCloud was that there were at least half a dozen places where you needed to sign out of iCloud and then it warned that if you did that, that files would get deleted! I said no thanks to having Apple mystery software delete some of my files.

I have a solution that worked for me. On your iPhone go to mail and choose accounts. click on each of your iCloud mail accounts (if you have more than one) and the terms will come up. Choose view terms and then agree to terms and conditions. Somehow, my Mac is happy now that I agreed on my phone. It worked for me several weeks ago when the annoying message popped up on my MAC and again today when it started again.
