CarPlay Navigation volume to loud

Hoping someone can help me please. Since updating the software on iPhone 13 to IOS16.1.1 whenever I use maps for navigation on Apple CarPlay the volume is very loud (before this update is was so low you could barely hear it). I tried using the car volume control in the car but it has no effect at all. Most of the online advice is to Go to Settings>Maps>Driving & Navigation, set the volume lower. I cannot find this in my settings anywhere. I tried using the volume control on the phone but this has no effect either.

There also is'nt any option to change the volume on the Apple CarPlay in the actual settings in the car either (Renault Capture)

I have also looked at Siri and tried to charge the volume on the maps this doesn't work either.

Hello I am using a USB cable. I think I might have worked it out. When I initially use the map on my phone and connect it via the usb cable in the car. The Apple Car play come on for me to select on the naviagition screen as soon as I select this the volume is really loud. I tried pressing the volume button repeatedly on the car and this does not work. However if I press and hold the volume button in the car it reduces the volume.

Exactly the same problem and results but using usb. Is ths an ios 16.1.1 problem? There is no driving and navigation menu

Why do I get no audio on carplay using i phone 13, ios16.1.1 and a usb cord? It worked i initially but has stopped working completely. Cannot fing any settings to make it work.

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

Are you connecting to CarPlay with USB or Bluetooth? You can improve the accuracy of audio measurements for third-party Bluetooth devices, including CarPlay connections. See here under "Improve the accuracy of audio measurements for third-party Bluetooth devices, including CarPlay connections" Use headphone audio level features on iPhone

If you're using Bluetooth, be sure it's set as "Car Stereo".
