"Device Timed Out" - Connecting iPad as Sidecar

Macbook Pro 2018 running Ventura 13.0.1

iPad Pro 4th Generation running 16.1.1


Sidecar used to connect perfectly before updating my Macbook Pro to Ventura. I followed the suggestion to update my iPad to 16.1.1, which I did... now I constantly get the message 'Device Timed Out".


I have restarted both devices a number of times, both are connected to the same Apple ID... etc., etc.


Anyone else having this issue or have a fix?

Okay, so I solved it myself!

I found that it only works for me if I am connected via the USB C cable... but I had it plugged into a hub, which meant it didn't work. Once I plugged directly into the laptop - voila!


I hope this helps someone else.
