Forgot the password

If you have forgotten your Mac passcode, it is very easy to regain access to your account. Depending on the version, these instructions may be slightly different. Next to your passcode box, click the question mark. If there is not a question mark icon, you will need to enter the incorrect passcode at least 3 times, then you will be prompted with reset instructions. You may need to restart your Mac. Do so manually: Look for a location you may have stored this in, such as a password journal that you have stored in a private location.
