need print driver for canon mx532 - running monterey 12.5

cannot find print driver for my canon mx532 - compatible with current os. does anyone have an suggestions so i can use my printer. currently hooked up with USB connection. my laptop sees the printer, but is asking for print driver software and cannot find it online. please help.

Hi,


The Canon MX532 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a printer supported by the driverless AirPrint technology, so you should not need an additional driver. This provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). An AirPrint-enabled printer is compatible with macOS.


The following guide (for similar models) from Canon UK could perhaps be of interest to you.

If necessary, reset the printing system on the Mac and re-add the printer (to use AirPrint):

Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)


In case you have to use USB, drivers will be needed:
