Icloud Calendar for PC and default view

My iCloud calendar on PC at one time defaulted to monthly view. After update (for a time frame b/c I do not know if that was causation) it now defaults to weekly view when opened. Anyone have any ideas about how to change that default setting so it would return back to monthly view. I know it is suppose to default to the last opened view but it only defaults to weekly. I have closed with monthly view only to open with weekly view again. Any ideas?

Hello tmb04,

If you are using iCloud.com to manage your calendar, then you can follow the steps here: Customize a calendar on iCloud.com - Apple Support to change the view. That info is also below.

  • "View one day, week, or month at a time: Click Day, Week, or Month below the calendar."

If you are using iCloud for Windows, then you can follow the steps here: Set up iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendar in Outlook on your Windows computer - Apple Support to customize your view .

Best regards.

That solution only changes it for current view (as the Lord S. says in his comment). It previously would default to last viewed session, (I always would use monthly) when I would close and reopen. I want that to happen again. It seems there might be others with the same issue. Thanks Lord S for backup. Just to clarify, I would like to have a choice for a default view, instead of the default view always being weekly.
