Disk not ejected properly

Keep getting this same message every 8 secs or so to say that I have to 'eject NAME OF USB PEN before disconnecting or turning it off' even though I have done everything properly.

Sounds like the USB pin drive (flash drive) is bad or has a bad connection.

Try ejecting and unplugging the flash drive, then plug it into a different USB port.

If you are using a USB hub, test the flash drive plugged directly into the iMac.

Replace or test a different flash drive, if that one is still causing a problem.
