I would like to save my screenshots as JPG. How can I doo this, please?

Open the Terminal and paste in this command, then press Return.

defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg;killall SystemUIServer

If your screen shot opens in Preview then select File, export and pick JPEG as the format (at bottom of menu)
