Hi. I am having issues with duplicates in Photos for Max OS Ventura. I get an error message when I try to merge duplicates. It says Duplicate photos cannot be merged at this time. If anyone has a work around for this, I’ll be grateful.

Do you have iCloud Photos enabled? If so do you also have "Optimize Mac Storage" enabled?
Have you tried to repair/resotre the library by opening it with the Option+Command keys held down?

I repaired the library as a first step and it sorted things out. I might add that while I was getting the error on my Mac, I was able to merge duplicates perfectly fine on my Phone. Same settings.
