Invalid gift card, I’ve been trying to get help for about 4 days.
It’s not much of a question but almost a cry for help. I purchased a 80$ apple gift card from my local Walgreens. I’ve never had issues with these cards till 12-15-2022. I purchased a card to be able to purchase stuff on my phone and upon purchase and getting home to use it (which I never have issues doing so) the card would tell me “code is invalid”. I called the Walgreens and the cashier who checked me out told me “the data for the card is in the computer so it will load tomorrow” which I knew wasn’t right. I’ve sold gift cards before and they activate as soon as u buy them. I got the activation receipt and the buyers receipt and the card still. So I called apple in hopes for help but they told me that they can’t help as well and it’s policy to return the buyer to the place of purchase. So I called again and was met with “I’m sorry but we can’t do anything about the card, once it’s out the door it’s Apple responsibility” so I contacted apple again, still was met with the “can’t do anything” but this time I was given a number for a call back with technical support, and even they said they couldn’t help me. I appreciate the help they tried to give me of course, it’s just that I paid 80$ + it was in cash for a card that I wasn’t expecting not to work. This was meant to help me purchase some things for Christmas as it’s around the corner and I’m very sad and frustrated that I couldn’t only get a refund, or even a replacement card and both parties can’t do anything about it. If any one from apple or even a higher up sees this, PLEASE just help me with getting a replacement card or even a refund from Walgreens. I only have a few days left.
