Air Tag won't reset.

So randomly both of my Air-tags stopped working with my phone. I assumed it was the batteries, until I read that it had been an issue others have had. I changed the batteries and they still didn't connect. I reset one, and straight away connected. (Yay) but the second won't. It says it's registered to my cell number (not apple id) which is still my cell number. So i have tried resetting the second lots of times. I have tried turning off the wifi, bluetooth and data off, and rebooting the phone as the community suggested. It's still not working.

TLDR; Airtag is registered to my phone number, but won't connect or reset. Help, please?

Hi Rowanmother,

If you haven't done so yet, restart your iPhone and try pairing your AirTag again. Although simple, this step can help correct some unexpected issues. It's also a good idea to make sure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version, since this can help with overall performance: Apple security updates. If an update is available, be sure to create a backup before installing it.

Since you have two AirTags, make sure only one is near your device during setup, as mentioned here: Set up your AirTag using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If you can't set up your AirTag

1. Make sure that your device is ready for setup.

2. If the setup animation disappeared, press the side button or Sleep/Wake button on your iPhone to put your device to sleep. Then wake and unlock your iPhone. Wait up to 15 seconds, and the animation should reappear.

3. If you have multiple AirTags to set up, make sure that only one is near your device at one time.

4. Remove and then replace the battery in your AirTag.*

5. If your AirTag still won't connect to your device, reset your AirTag.
