I am trying to backup my iPhone (XR, iOS 16.2) and want to include everything EXCEPT photos. In addition, I have my photo sync to iCloud turned off (I backup my photos to my Google Account/off the cloud). From what I have read, photos are included in a whole phone backup to iCloud if they are not syncing already through Photos. Is there a way I can work around this?
