We see that you're having an issue with your Apple ID password. We'd like to have you try a couple of things for us to see if we can't get you back in to your Apple ID account.
First, you mentioned that you were able to change the password by logging in to the iCloud account. Are you still able to log in to the iCloud account from a computer or another device? If so, go ahead and try changing the password once more, then test to see if you can sign in.

If after trying these steps you still cannot sign in, can you tell us exactly what happens when you try to sign in? Are you getting an error message? If so, what does that message say?
