Whatsapp Backup

I am unable to backup my whatsapp chat on icloud. It's just showing "preparing" for last one hour.

how can I fix it?

I'm not doing it for the first time. Actually I was facing issues while taking backup of my whatsapp chats. Therefore I deleted the previous chat backup data from icloud & tried to take a fresh backup. But I'm facing the same issue again and again.

Same here. Last successful backup was last Saturday, 31/12/2022.

I've tried all the workarounds I've found searching to no avail. ie: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/whatsapp-stuck-on-preparing-backup.2375807/?post=31850082#post-31850082

I started a chat with Apple Support which went offline while I was explaining details of the issue - NOT the way to go, Apple Support"!

Since you are doing it for the first time as can be be seen from the picture posted by you, it does take time. Please have patience and stay connected to the internet through WiFi
