Using 2 Apple devices with different McOS

I'm using an iMac ( late 2015) with MacOS Monterey and I got a new MacBook Air which is still under MacOS Monterey. Should I upgrade the MacBook to Ventura MacOs ?

Thanks for any advice on the pros and cons to operate with different MacOS versions in different Apple devices.

Tanks for you answer. I wonder whether, after upgrading my MacBook Air, the interaction with my iMac ( with OS Monterey, as it can’t be upgraded to OS Ventura) will cause any issue .

You're welcome. I have seven Macs running High Sierra to Ventura without an issue. as far as Time Machine backups, of the four Macs I still back up, they all have their own drive. You can back up two machines to the same drive. However, if the drive fails you lose the backups for both.

The Only issue I have experienced with a different setup is the Reminder Application ceases to Sync between High Sierra mcOS 10.13 and any version newer than Mojave.

Between Monterey and Ventura, apart from the change from System Preferences to System Setting, most all works similar enough not to be of a major concern.
