Do I remove my SIM card from old phone

If you are selling to trading your phone, yes, you remove the sim card. But if you are buying a new iPhone, you will want to set it up using eSim as opposed to a physical sim, assuming your carrier supports eSim.

Please see the image I attached. On the left side of your iPhone is a small hole into which you can put a sim tool which was included inside the iPhone box on models before iPhone 14 as that one is ESiM only.
