Lost ipad

So nearly a year ago I’ve done construction near a house. From the corner of my eye I found a fully function iPad Air ofc as a citizen I contact the people but no budge. I left it in my house for quite some time seeing if I can do any use of it like as my animating tablet but I couldn’t do that if it’s lock and belong to somebody else. I want to return this for goodness. Idk if there’s a prize if I do (which I hope) but just returning the product. Unless I keep it but fully unlocked
