The Epson XP-410 is AirPrint-compatible. Add it to Printers & Scanners that way, and its scanning function should work using native macOS apps.

When adding it, you must explicitly indicate AirPrint.

It is not possible for me to confirm Epson's proprietary app will work though.

That sounds like an app, and if it does not work you need to contact its developer: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support.

In addition, Epson released an updated ICA driver to scan using Image Capture sometime around Big Sur. It should also work through Ventura.

Worked fine for me in Monterey, and works now in Ventura.

You probably need an updated version. Which exact model Epson scanner do you have?
