How do I change a Pages document to PDF before sharing it?
I went to Export and made a PDF copy. I couldn't share it. I looked in my documents and found the PDF copy there besides the Pages copy. I opened the PDF copy and then shared it. It should be easier than this!!!

If you are using Pages v12.2.1 on Ventura 13.*, then there is no PDF sharing support. You can choose File menu > Print… PDF > Send In Mail, or manually export the PDF and then Share from the Finder's secondary menu.
Apple removed the Share menu, and all instances of Send A Copy that would allow you to choose the Share conduit (e.g. Mail, Messages, etc.), and the document format conversion to be sent. Although there is now a File menu > Share… selection, it will only attach the Pages document to the Share target.
’Print’ it but choose the PDF button bottom left of the print dialog.
Or File > Export
If not on Ventura, maybe the Share menu is still available.
