Touch Bar Dead

Hey, would like to check if anybody more knowledgeable than me can advise.

Woke up one morning, my Touch Bar had turned blue and slightly distorted. I continued to use it, since it was still visible, thought it would clear up after some use.

Now, it's completely black, except for a tiny right edge where half the Siri icon is. I can still see its the same blue it was before the Touch Bar died.

The only thing I can think of was that I've recently started playing some more intensive games that may have caused my Macbook to overheat and cause heat damage to the screen? Really perplexed. Would like some advice if this is a software or hardware problem, and if so how much it would likely cost to get it fixed.

If I use the CMD+Shift+6 function the screenshot shows that the Touch Bar is working fine. I can touch blindly and still access its functions, so I'm afraid the screen might be dead.

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks.
