I suddenly cannot upload photos to eBay as a seller. This is a new problem as I have been able to upload in the past. I have also noticed that I cannot upload photos to my own website either so it looks like it could be an Apple problem rather than eBay/my own website. I am using a MacBook. I can upload from my mobile phone by the way.

Hi Marylillis

Welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.

Re: I suddenly cannot upload photos to eBay as a seller

Wondering which Mac model (year) you have,

and

Which Mac OS version is installed.

Seems iPhone and Mac would each work a little differently.

Am no expert in this area, yet your post surely deserves a response.

Perhaps the Apple Support articles below can help ?

Eg: Apple support have this older article online that may or may not help:

Upload photos from your Mac to a website - Apple Support

Latest info:

For MacOS Ventura: (else please choose your MacOS at the top of each article):

How to: Share photos using other apps and websites in Photos on Mac – Apple Support

Else:

How to: Control access to your photos on Mac – Apple Support

or

for very careful use : ie check security

How to: Allow apps to use your photos – Apple Support

All the best :-)

Please read the following user tip and restate your question/problem in detail

Writing an Effective Apple Support Communities Question - Apple Community

What system are you running?

What happens when you try to upload?

If you get any error messages make a screenshot of them and post along with your reply.

Where is the library located? If on an external drive how is the drive formatted and connected to your MBA?

Before I replied I decided to check if my Mac needed an update. It did. The problem seems to have disappeared. Hurrah. Thanks for replying though. For information - I had no error message it was at the point of clicking the button that said 'upload media from computer' (Photos) that it stopped, no error message just nothing ie. I could not get further than that point. This was happening from my Macbook to any other platform I was using so it had to be my Macbook. And now it seems it was a software update that was needed. Hope my reply helps anyone else with a similar problem in the future.
