IOS 16.2 - iMessages green to another iphone
i just sent a couple of messages to someone I’ve not talked to in over a year and they’re showing green. Any ideas why?

No response yet. Yes, he does have an iPhone. It’s my ex husband and it’s important I reach him. He’s moved out of state so the only other thing I have is an address. He is behind on support so I was wondering if this means he blocked me.
The other person may have changed the phone to Android or changed the phone number or the phone is out of internet / cellular connection. There are several reasons for this. Hard to pinpoint just one without knowing what is going on on the other side.

The other person does not have an Apple device OR does not have iMessages activated.
